The Narrator
The Boss's Stairway is a staircase that leads to the Boss's Office from the Meeting Room.
Information[]
The staircase has six flights of stairs. If the player wishes to follow the Narrator and go up, they will go to the Boss's Office. If they go down, they will meet a never-ending hallway inside the room that a door at the bottom leads them to. The entrance is illuminated by red light, which makes the bottom of the staircase pretty uncanny. After entering the door, the Mariella Ending will occur.
A Stanley Figurine can be found around the bottom of the stairway in The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe.
Endings[]
No endings occur in this room, although part of the Not Stanley Ending and the Escape Pod Ending go through it.
In the Not Stanley Ending[]
Boss's Stairway from the Not Stanley Ending, the way down is blocked by a rail.
The bottom of the stairway is blocked off to prevent further consequences from Narrative Contradiction. The two doors at the bottom have no door knobs, similar to other doors in Inaccessible Areas. The player is then forced to go to the Green Boss's Office, referred to as the Manager's Office in this ending.
In the Escape Pod Ending[]
The player is lead down the staircase from the Boss's Office to proceed back towards The Office. Similar to the Not Stanley Ending, the bottom route is blocked off because of a closed door of the bottom of the staircase, which makes the player unable to reach the Mariella Ending.
