|“||Oh, well, look's who's got cold feet! Sorry to break it to you, Stanley, but that lift isn't coming back.||”|
The Cold Feet Ending is the ending that occurs when you miss the Cargo Lift and jump down to your death.
Obtaining The Ending
Exit Stanley's Office. At the 2 doors, pick the one on the right. Pass through the Employee Lounge, and go straight to the warehouse. Get on the cargo lift, but back off of it quickly before you move with the lift.
The Narrator is surprised at Stanley's hesitation, saying he's gotten "cold feet". He states that, since the platform isn't coming back, his only choice is to either get comfortable or jump off the platform to the floor below.
If Stanley hesitates, The Narrator claims that it isn't that far down to the bottom floor and that he's sure you can make it, before childishly chanting him to "do it!".
Once Stanley jumps off, he dies. The Narrator, in a sarcastic tone, says he was mistaken. The game then resets.
With The Bucket
If Stanley is holding The Bucket, the Narrator will attempt to use it as reassurance that Stanley can survive the fall- explaining that buckets have been used as cushioning devices for a long time. Stanley still dies in the fall, with The Narrator having the same dialogue sarcastically bemoaning his own clumsiness.
- If Stanley instead hops onto one of the nearby boxes sticking out of shelves, or hesitates jumping down entirely, The Narrator will continue to harass Stanley into getting to the bottom, claiming that's "not the Stanley I know".
- The Powerful Ending is near identical to this one, however the player can simply jump down at another point, either before getting on the lift or while riding it.
- If Stanley goes off the lift after it starts, but then goes back on after the dialogue has started, the Narrator will continue the cold feet dialogue until Stanley continues with other endings.
