The Jump Glitch is a secret mechanic present exclusively in The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe that allows the player jump while outside of a Jump Circle, as long as they have jumps left on their jump counter. It is an official feature, despite seeming like an overlooked glitch at first, as it is neccesary to obtain the Elden Ring/Dark Souls easter egg found inside of the Tape Recorder Ending.
Usage[]
If the player restarts the game while standing inside the Jump Circle, they will be able to jump an infinite amount of times upon loading into the Stanley's Office, even outside any of the Jump Circles. This seems to initially be a bug that was later kept as a feature, as it is required to discover an easter egg located in the Tape Recorder Ending, but is non-existent in the oldsaves build.
NOTICE: Keep in mind that jumps will be depleted if the "Press Space to Jump" prompt is present on the screen.
It is possible to obtain through any of the Jump Circles in the game, found in these locations:
As long as the player has at least one jump remaining, they will be able to keep using the Jump Glitch, but once the Jumps Remaining have reached zero, a new save file will have to be used to jump again. Jumps are not replenished by closing and opening the game - remaining fixed to the amount on the current save file.
This feature will stay activated throughout the player's run unless they spend all of their 36 jumps, return to the main menu, or exit the game, needing to be set up the next time the game is opened.
This allows players to jump over many obstacles, and discover normally inaccessible areas. The Jump may also serve a purpose of a "mid-air jump", as it can be activated while falling.
Elden Ring/Dark Souls Easter Egg[]
Once in the Tape Recorder Ending, a glowing white text that shines will appear to the right of the staircase. The Jump Glitch must be used to leap over the cardboard boxes to access it. After clicking it, a message in the style of Dark Souls/Elden Ring message boxes accompanied by a ghost version of Stanley will appear that reads the following:

Interestingly, the appraisal number makes reference to Employee 432, whether it means something or is simply an additional reference is unknown, as it could've easily displayed the number 427 instead. Walking away from the text makes Ghost Stanley and the text box to disappear.
This easter egg is strictly tied with the Jump Glitch, because entering the Tape Recorder Ending without it enabled makes the text not appear at all, which may be a confirmation of the Jump Glitch being an official feature of Ultra Deluxe.
