Steven (renamed Rupert in The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe) is a minor character in The Stanley Parable. He's only seen in The Stanley Parable Instructional Video during the Not Stanley Ending.
In-game, Steven is silent and is inanimate. He is also a hypothetical "real person". His personality can be determined by which choices he makes, like Stanley. His choices are: helping improve the quality of life for citizens of impoverished third-world nations or systematically setting fire to every orphan living in a 30-kilometer radius of his house.

His personality is determined by which choice he makes. However, this is not resolved due to him being inanimate, and the video not showing which choice he made, due to the fact that he is used as an example.
Scenarios[]
Steven could either spend years helping improve the quality of life for citizens of impoverished third-world nations, or he could systematically set fire to every orphan living in a 30-kilometer radius of his house.
In Ultra Deluxe, Rupert instead has the choice to invent a machine to create infinite food and eliminate world hunger, or to forget how to read.
