The Fern is a fern found during the Confusion Ending, while following the The Stanley Parable Adventure Line™. It is planted in a room with light blue walls.
Importance Storywise[]
When you pass by the Fern, the Narrator will tell you to go back in to the room and analyze it because it "will be important later in the story" and to "make sure you study it closely, and remember it carefully." The importance of the Fern is disputed, as it has little to no importance story-wise so far. It does reappear during the Art Ending though.
- The fern also appears throughout the course of the game, for example durring the Figurines ending, even though it isn't adressed by the Narrator at any point.
- It can also be seen as a part of the promotional posters displayed on the walls of "the Stanley Parable 2" development office
The Raphael Parable[]
The Fern reappears in The Raphael Parable. It is the key to finding one of the 34 secrets, which must be attained by staring at it. The bush is bad if your speedrunning the confusion ending and listen to the narrator and do what says.
