This article is in the archive for the following reason: Cancelled project.
The Stanley Parable: Mobile Edition was a cancelled sequel to The Stanley Parable, planned for release on iOS. It was planned to contain differences from the original game, featuring new endings and a completely redesigned office.
While in the middle of the game's production, Davey Wreden found out that the team he hired to develop the game was actually completely unmotivated to make the game; they had intentionally been ignoring his requests for information on the game's progress, and had even written somewhere that they disliked Wreden and did not care about the game at all.
This led Wreden to cancel the project and revoke the team's license, as he didn't want the game without heart and soul, or the game completed by a team who only cared about its revenues and not about the fans.
Eventually, The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe received an iOS port of its own.
Known Information[]
- This version of The Stanley Parable is based on the Half-Life 2 mod than the HD remix.
- Rather than pushing buttons on a keyboard, Stanley would carry a mobile device with him and push buttons on said device when needed.
- There would've been an ending where the Narrator would send Stanley to a clone of Fruit Ninja.
- In the Countdown Ending's countdown scene, the Narrator would ask Siri to add extra time to the timer.
